The film is a study of the relationship between sound and image, and an experiment in how one can reflect the other. My interest in Laure’s work lays partly in her play with words, and how she uses them as images, how she manipulates them, changes them, and deconstructs them in various ways. I was intrigued by the fact that she can speak multiple languages and how her choice of words in each language might subtly affect what she ends up saying. I wondered if I could play with the sound of her words to reflect what she was creating on paper.
